Administrative / Biographical History

Gabriel Neil (fl 1830s-1862) was an archaeologist and antiquarian in Glasgow, Scotland. He had an interest in comprehending and deciphering ancient muniments and manuscripts and as such researched and edited an edition of Zachary Boyd's 'Four Poems from Zion's Flowers', published in 1855. He also published The Book of the Chronicles of the Isles (1816). He died in 1862.
