It was decided in a meeting of the Leaders on 13 January 1969 that the two Methodist societies of Thorne should be amalgamated. After a Trustees meeting in April of that year, the Committee decided that the two societies would be joined with effect from 1 December 1969. The minute book listed here is the first of this new institution.
