Endorsed: Addressed to Mr G. Garrison, 52 Edwards Road, Erdington, Birmingham. The sender [G.I.S.] is onboard the S.S. Snowdon on the way to Carnarvon. Weather and everything glorious.
The traing ship Clio was towed to the Menai Strait in 1877 and for the next 40 years, provided care and training for homeless, destitute and poor respectable boys aged 12 to 16.
