Letter from William Howley, archbishop of Canterbury to the mayor of Doncaster acknowledging his letter of 18 Mar and an address 'expressive of the attachment of a most numerous and respectable body of the inhabitants of the town and neighbourhood to the established church', 5 Apr 1834

A public meeting of the 'lay friends of the established church', chaired by the mayor, was held in Doncaster on 21 February 1834 and reported in the 'Doncaster Nottingham and Lincoln Gazette' of 28 February 1834.
