Administrative / Biographical History
The sub-committee was composed of representative of the parish councils or parish meetings of the Balby Urband District and the parish councils of parish meetings of Edlington, Wadworth and Warmsworth and of the West Riding County Council.
Balby was absorbed into the borough of Doncaster in 1914. This sub-committee was replaced by the newly-created Edlington District Sub-Commitee in 1927, whose records are catalogued at SD7. They include the minute book of the Balby Evening Institutes, which became that of the Edlington District after April 1914
