Administrative / Biographical History
William Aldam of Frickley (1813-1890) was, through the gift of his father on his marriage, the owner of the Frickley estate, where the family, now Warde-Aldam, are still resident. His business and personal papers are deposited at Doncaster Archives (ref DD/WA), and include a series of diaries, two of which have been transcribed, 1848 and 1849
