Administrative / Biographical History

The Priory Place Wesleyan Methodist Church was built in 1832 as a successor to two earlier chapels; it has from that date been the largest church in the Doncaster Circuit, as its head church to 1884, and as head of the Priory Place Circuit from 1884 until 1974.
