They were compiled in the course of the transcription of the parish registers in the early 1980s. Item 8 comprises the totals of marriages in each decade from 1754 to 1837 in each of 22 parishes, identifying the numbers of minors, marriages by banns and by licence, and of brides and grooms from outside the parish. There is also a table showing the seasonality of marriages in Doncaster between 1754 and 1799 and in Braithwell and Sprobrough between 1754 and 1837. These statistics were compiled in 1983 for use in a lecture by the archivist - marriage statisitics 1754-1837
