Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
From early 1932 James Wood and his wife Louisa Jane (born Norton) were resident at North (or Bilham) Lodge, Bilham. He was employed as a gamekeeper on the Brodsworth Estate but had been an industrial worker in the Chesterfield area before 1918. In the 1920s he appears to have been a casual farm worker in Lincolnshire. He died in 1946 and his wife in 1953
