Papers of the Thomas family, Tyddynyberth, 1839-1979, including annual reports and other records of Bethel Congregational Church, 1885-1979; other papers relating to religion in Caernarfonshire, 1856-1970; memorial cards and elegies for local people, 1864-1947; items relating to the First World War, [1914]-[c. 1939]; Thomas family school exercise books and certificates, 1884-1899; papers relating to Tyddynyberth farm, 1839-1960; items relating to local shops, 1899-[1930s]; programmes for local eisteddfodau and festivals, 1893-1914; miscellaneous maps and plans, 1904-[1945]; photographs, [1880s]-1960, belonging to the Thomas family, being mainly portraits and Caernarfonshire views.

Administrative / Biographical History

Robert Thomas (d. 1916) farmed at Tyddynyberth, Bethel, Llanddeiniolen, Caernarfonshire. He and his wife, Mary, had two sons who both died young. Their three daughters included Martha Jane Thomas. She married David Thomas (fl. 1916-1959) who farmed Tyddynyberth after Robert's death.
