PROBATE: (30 June 1874) of the WILL (6 November 1871) extracted from the Bangor District Registry of the Probate Division of the High Court of Justice, of Richard Parry of Dafarn newydd, pa. Llanfaethlu, farmer. He bequeaths to his wife Elizabeth, her heirs and assigns Dafarn newydd leasehold together with all the household furniture and farming stock except the clock, which he bequeaths to his nephew Thomas Williams, junior of Cae Crin, pa. Llanfugail. He gives to his wife for the term of her life the leasehold premises and appurtenances called Tai'r Lon, Maen y fantell, Llain Swttan and Nant y dwr, pa. Llanrhuddlad. After the decease of his wife he bequeaths Maen y fantell and Llain Swttan to Catherine Hughes for life on condition that within 12 months of coming into possession she pays £140 sterling of mortgage thereon together with any lawful interest. After the decease of C. H. he bequeaths Maen y Fantell and Llain Swttan to Elizabeth, dau. of C. H., her heirs and assigns for ever. He wills that his wife pay £2 p. a. to his brother John Parry for life, which will be a rentcharge on the property bequeathed to his wife. After his wife's death he bequeaths Nant y dwr, pa. Llanrhyddlad between William Hughes, and Richard Roberts for ever, but without the power of selling the property. After his wife's death if Mary Davies of Penygraig should be a widow he bequeaths the three leasehold houses called Tai'r Lon to M. D. on condition that she pay a ground rent of 10s p.a. on it. He bequeaths the remainder of his possessions to his wife, Elizabeth Parry and Owen Hughes of Fadog frech.
