Miscellaneous Letters

Miscellaneous letters from the collection of Fairfax Murray, exchanged between a variety of correspondents. They have been arranged in alphabetical order of writers. Amongst those who occur are:

 Nos 154-158 are mounted, as follows:

• number 155, W.B. Cooke to Mr Upcott, 1821;
• number 156, Samuel Cousins to D. Colnaghi, 1827;
• number 157, C.L. Eastlake to John Murray, 1840;
• number 158, end portion of a petition (n.d.) to the Royal Academy, with signatures.

With these are 34 photographs, all save numbers 1-12 of interiors, houses, etc. (number 1, Edgar Allan Poe; number 2, D.G. Rossetti; and number 3, Fanny Cornforth), and a presentation copy to Mrs William Morris of Emily Pfeiffer's article The Posthumous Critics of a Dead Poet, and Deathless Poetry.
