The general balance sheets were the annual financial statement of Owens College, and thereafter, the Victoria University of Manchester. From the 1880s, these statements were presented in the annual report of Council to Court (part 1). These versions are identical to the published versions, but include the signatures of the University Treasurer and the auditors.
