Administrative / Biographical History
This school was built in 1901 on a plot of land off Littlemoor Lane to replace the National School (see P57/8/1). It later changed its name to Balby Council Infants School and then Balby County Primary School (Infants). In 1977 a new school was opened on Littlemoor Lane with the old school becoming part of Balby Junior School. In 1981 it was renamed Balby Central First School.
