Taynton is located in West Oxfordshire, about a mile from the Gloucestershire border.
The parish records were originally deposited in the Bodleian Library by the Churchwarden of Taynton in 1963 and by the Vicar of Burford with Fulbrook and Taynton in 1982. The material was then transferred to the Oxfordshire Record Office and a further deposit was made by Burford PCC in 1996.
