Administrative / Biographical History

Brian James is a local historian , originally from the Vale of Glamorgan. He was sub-librarian at University College, Cardiff, until he retired in 1987, and joint editor of the Glamorgan History Society journal 'Morgannwg' from 1971 to 2000. His edition of Morganiae Archaiographia by Rice Merrick was published in 1983.

The proposed history of Cardiff, sponsored by the city council, was to be edited by Philip Riden of the university's Extra Mural department.
