Jacmar) and the chargé d'affaires (William Deane Poyntz) mainly from John Birkbeck, Consul at Nice (numbers 1-225 passim, December 1779 - March 1783), and John Udny, Consul at Leghorn (numbers 241-277, December 1779 - October 1782). There are also numerous enclosures in English, French, and Italian, among which are intelligence reports from the ports of France and Spain. Included are letters and papers of :
