Administrative / Biographical History
This school, built by the West Riding of Yorkshire County Council, was opened in January 1955 and from 1981 absorbed the infant intake that had been formerly admitted to Mexborough Roman Terrace School [See SR80]. Both schools were replaced by Highwoods Junior and Infant School in October 1986. This later became Highwoods Primary School [See SR161].
