Chinnor is a parish on the Oxfordshire / Buckinghamshire border, and lies about 5 miles south-east of Thame.
The Chinnor parish collection was originally deposited at the Bodleian Library and was transferred to Oxfordshire Archives in 1984. Further accessions, under the numbers 2908 and 5099, were made in 1986 and February 2003 respectively. The whole collection was recatalogued in October 2003. A conspectus of old and new references is given at the back of this catalogue. Please note that the papers previously referenced as MSS.D.D.Par. Chinnor c.6 a-g have been incorporated into the Chinnor Parish Council collection (PC63).
