The first Principal's report was issued in 1852. The report was originally delivered by the Principal at the annual prize day at the end of each session. From 1862, the Report was included in the annual calendar.

Arrangement
Reports for the period 1852-1861 have been bound with copies of exam papers. The volumes cover 1) 1851-1855 ( Principal's reports 1852-1855 only); 2) 1856-1859; 3) 1860-1861. There are also loose copies of the Report for 1881. 1883, 1884, 1886, 1888, 1889.
