Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
This school was built in 1913 as a replacement for the Owston and Skellow Council School [see SR92]. It was originally called the Owston Council School, but was renamed the Carcroft Park Lane Infants School in 1923. In 1940 the pupils of Carcroft Council Infants transferred to it [see SR68]. By September 1979 it had become known as Carcroft First School.
