These are abstracts of inquisitions of William Marratt a coroner for the West Riding of Yorkshire, probably for the [Lower] Strafforth and Tickhill district. The abstracts acted as a receipt to Marratt from the clerk of the assize of the Northern circuit to whom the coroner surrendered his inquisition papers at the Yorkshire Assizes. The abstracts list the date of the inquisition, the township, the name of the deceased and the verdict.
