Administrative / Biographical History
There were separate coroners for Rotherham Borough and for the Rotherham District of the West Riding of Yorkshire. The jurisdiction of these coroners was superseded by that of the coroner for the newly-created South Yorkshire (East District) from 1 April 1974.
