Administrative / Biographical History

Conisbrough Hospital, located in Common Lane (later Common Road), Conisbrough, was established by the Doncaster and Mexborough Joint Hospital Board in 1904. The archives of the Joint Hospital Board are to be found at Doncaster Archives reference HR1. No medical records have survived before 1940, although there is a volume of monthly reports to the joint board from 1904 to 1920 to be found at HR1/2/1.
