Custodial History

Punch Taverns, a company owning public houses throughout the country, inherited these records, from amongst others Allied Breweries (formerly Ind Coope), by whom they were kept at their estates office in Stoke on Trent. In 2003, Punch Taverns decided that they did not wish to retain any of the records the firm had inherited. Through the Brewery History Society, records were offered as gifts to local record offices, including Doncaster Archives. The principal records given to Doncaster Archives are those of the Planet Trading Company
