The first Hall play was staged in 1924, and it became an annual fixture. In later years, joint productions were held with Langdale Hall, and latterly with Ashburne Hall. The Play files comprise various documents relating to the productions, including programmes, invitations, guest lists and correspondence concerning finances and monies raised for charitable causes. It is believed that plays ere not staged between 1940 and 1943. There are no files for the 1948 or 2001 plays, or any plays before 1934. Also present is a prompt book used for the 1967 play.
