Administrative / Biographical History

This school was built on an island of land between Cooke Street and High Street in Bentley and provided elementary education until it closed in 1976. From 1930 until 1937 pupils from this school transferred to the mixed school situated next door which then became a Junior Mixed and Infants (JMI) school (see SR36). After July 1937 when the JMI school closed this school reverted to being solely for infants.
