Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
In 1962, a union took place of the parishes of St John the Baptist, New Edlington and St Peter, Edlington; the former became the Parish Church of the united parish, the latter was later declared redundant and is now closed. Up to 1953, the parishes of Edlington and Warmsworth were combined; the parish of New Edlington was then created out of the old conventional district
