This series contains pre-publication papers as well as one published item relating to EF's short stories, notably her collection The Silent Areas: Short Stories (London, Hutchinson, 1980) and a limited edition publication of a single short story, Matters of Chance (London: Covent Garden Press, 1972). There are also manuscripts and drafts of uncollected or unfinished stories.
