Acquisition Information
Rylands accession no. R78857. Purchased by the John Rylands Library at auction at Sotheby's on 15 November 1937 (Lot 435), through the London booksellers Maggs Brothers Ltd, for £14 18s 3d, along with English MS 906.
Separated Material
The letters which were acquired in 1937 with the present collection of documents are now kept separately as Rylands English MS 906.
