MRCS LRCP 1910.
Laing studied medicine at the University of Manchester and was house physician at MRI. He was later appointed resident medical officer at South Manchester Union Infirmary (Withington Hospital) and was district medical officer for Manchester Union. Laing was also in practice in Cheetham Hill Manchester with James Laing (James was possibly Clifford's father).
