Scope and Content

Folder of correspondence and associated documents between the Church and their solicitors, Cleaver Fulton Rankin Solicitors, entitled 'Solicitor correspondence book 2'. Documents relate largely to the sale and acquisition of Church premises and amendment to Trust Deeds, as well as to child protection guidelines for the Church. Folder includes: 

  • Correspondence relating to the settling of an estate.
  • Discussion documents prepared for meetings with the solicitors.
  • Lists of sites surveyed for a possible new Church Hall.
  • Annotated photocopies of guidelines for child protection within the Church, entitled 'Keeping Our Children Safe: The Standards and Practices of Church'.
  • Maps, drawings, and estimated costs for proposed new Church Hall sites and layout.
  • Letter from Inland Revenue confirming Church of God Rea Memorial's charity status.
  • Photocopy of Deed of Assignment accompanied by photocopied death certificate.
  • Invoices and receipts from the solicitors for their services.
  • Documents from the Special Meeting on the sale of the Rea Memorial property in Rugby Avenue, including a list of roll members.
  • Death certificates and photocopied Deed of Conveyance, Deeds of Appointment of New Trustees, and Deed of Retirement of Trustee relating to land at Rugby Avenue.
