Scope and Content

Large section of this letter consists of a fantastical play Heath-Stubbs has imagined. It is a mock war themed play featuring the Brontë sisters. The letter then goes on to mention local court cases linked to pub licensing laws. McNair is also informed that Heath-Stubbs has had some involvement with the police. He alludes to an instance where he was taken to the police station over an involvement with stray ponies, for which he was fined five shillings.
