Neurosurgical research papers

Scope and Content

Files of research papers and loose research notes on various neurosurgical subjects. Covers Jefferson's research interests in the spinal cord, amputations, brain tumours, trigeminal nerves, peripheral nerves, and Jacksonian Epilepsy. The most important of these series is the research on the spinal cord and related injuries, partly because of the importance of Jefferson's work in this field, but also because of the quantity of material. The material on amputations is interesting as it illustrates an aspect of Jefferson's work during World War One in which Jefferson never published.

Arrangement

The subseries are based on files created by Geoffrey Jefferson. Within each file the original order has been retained.
