The volume contains over one hundred pedigrees of Cheshire families. On page 2 is the following heading: Extracts from the Book of Cheshire Pedigrees at Tabley written by Sir Peter Leycester A.D. 1666. The book was transcribed by Sir Peter out of Mr John Boothe of Twamlowes Book, but several of the Pedigrees were rectified by Sir Peter and to such he subscribed his name as being exactly true, the rest are declared by him to be more dubious. The following is a Catalogue of the Pedigrees which were by him drawn, altered or amended. Page 163 is headed Descent of Owen of Penrhos communicated by S.W. Pritchard, 1815. There is an index to the present transcript (pp. ii-iii), and a table of the pedigrees in Sir Peter Leycester's Book (pp. 167-71). Old number, 8.
