The volume contains over seventy pedigrees of prominent families in the Macclesfield hundred of Cheshire, with numerous skillfully emblazoned coats of arms. There is an index to the pedigrees on folio 2v. On folio 2 is written John Thomas Stanley, Alderley Park, 1805.
