Whitworth announces that 'The Armstrong and Whitworth committee wrote a few days since to ask if they might see our works and when it would be convenient to do so.' Whitworth replied that he would be happy to see them any day after Monday next. He thanks Tennent 'for sending me the lists [of recipients of his book], which I gave to Mr Pender this morning'.
