Letters from Ruskin to Mrs Fanny (G.T.) Talbot (1824-1917), mostly addressed to her at Ty'n-y-Ffynon, Barmouth, North Wales. The majority cover the years 1885-1886 (numbers 135-361) and are mainly concerned with games of chess that they played by correspondence. Among other subjects dealt with are the Guild of St George (see also English MS 1164 below) and Mrs Talbot's son, Quartus Talbot (see English MS 1163 below).
