Advertisements and reviews of books by Strachan and exhibitions of material from his collection. The largest grouping (WJS/15/2) consists of reviews of publications by Strachan, and embraces the whole range of his work over a forty-two year period, from writings on art, sculpture and the livre d'artiste to educational texts of foreign-language literature. The reviews are drawn from numerous sources, including local and national newspapers, art reviews and poetry journals. There are also reviews of exhibitions with which Strachan was associated, in particular displays of livres d'artiste drawn from his collection. The reviews are in the form of cuttings, photocopies and in some cases entire journals. Also included here are publishers' advertisements and publicity material for some of Strachan's books.
