To his mother, says he is off to visit Francis King in Ceylon tomorrow and also hoping to see Jack Steedman [former school friend] on the way. [In a note says went to Ceylon to await the return of a Dutch flying boat which had been unsuccessfully looking for Allied troops on Sumatra].
