All are from HLP, with the following exceptions: part of number 3 is a note from Henry Thrale; number 4 is from Henry Thrale; numbers 8 and 68 are from Hester Maria Thrale (Queeney); and number 11 is from Hester Maria Salusbury (HLP's mother). Several letters have been dated by Samuel Johnson. A number have been franked by Henry Thrale. As follows:
