Scope and Content

A committee of Council appointed to report on planning requirements of the University in the post-war period. The Committee examined such issues as increased student numbers, provision of accommodation and facilities and increased staff numbers. The committee was chaired by Sir Ernest Simon, the chairman of Council. The committee's recommendations helped shape the University's submission to the Universities Grants Commission.
