Scope and Content

Post mortem drawing of the whole brain, ventral view. Annotations on the back read "Patient's name T. of 3rd & Lat vent 1939" amd "Fig.19 case 12 intraventricular epidermoid". There are also some additional details about the patient in pencil on the back.

This image features as figure 20 in the publication G. Jefferson & H. Jackson, 'Tumours of the lateral and of the 3rd ventricles', Proceedings of the Royal Society of Medicine, 1939, vol.32, pp.1105-37, in which it is described as follows: "intraventricular epidermoid. Epidermoid occupying the right temporal horn of the lateral ventricle which was grossly distended by it".
