Administrative / Biographical History

Hardwick was educated at the University of Birmingham, where he qualified as a dental surgeon in 1931, and was awarded the BDS in 1939. He worked at hospitals in the Birmingham area and lectured in dental surgery at Birmingham University. He was appointed a fellow in dental surgery by the RCS in 1954. He was appointed professor of preventive dentistry at the University of Manchester in 1960 and retired in 1978.
