Park was educated at Owens College and St Thomas's Hospital, London, qualifying with the Scottish diplomas in1887. He was in practice at Ashton-under-Lyne and was MOH for Dukinfield Union, a honorary consulting surgeon at Ashton and District Infirmary, and at he Children's Hospital, Ashton. He was a former president of Ashton District Medical Society and of the Ashton Division of the BMA.
