Brindle was professor of pharmacy at the University of Manchester from 1946-1955. He was chairman of the British Pharmaceutical Conferences of 1944 and 1945. Brindle was also an honorary consulting pharmacist to Manchester Corporation and a visiting apothecary at MRI.
