ugust studied medicine at St Thomas' Hospital Medical school, qualifying in 1967. He was a consultant dermatologist at Salford Royal Hospital Trust, 1975-2010, and Clinical Director of the Dermatology Unit, 2001-2010. He is noted for his work on laser treatments for dermatological conditions.
