Dambrill-Davies qualified from University College London in 1867. He worked as an army surgeon and was medical officer and public vaccinator for the Alderley district, Cheshire. Dambrill-Davies was also a major in the Army Medical Reserve and was medical referee for several insurance and assurance companies.
