Correspondence with John William Graham (1859-1932), mathematician and Quaker writer, relating to discussion of a request for limited publicity for the exclusion of [Richard] Graham from an expedition to Mount Everest owing to his having been a conscientious objector [during the First World War].

Also included is correspondence relating to discussion of the economic and financial conditions in Germany, the activities of the Society of Friends in a campaign to bring pressure upon America in relation to a cessation in the payment of reparations, the provision of material on the subject amassed by the Society of Friends, and a request for an article to be published in the Manchester Guardian on the subject, which is declined.
