Correspondence with Charles E. Turner, journalist, relating to internal discussion of Turner's employment in the reporters room at the Manchester Guardian. Also included is correspondence between Turner and W.P. Crozier, relating to discussion of Turner's disappointment at not receiving an increase in salary following his appointment as deputy day editor at the paper. There is an expression of pleasure by Turner at Crozier's recovery from illness, and intended return to work, and related internal memoranda.

There is correspondence between Turner and A.P. Wadsworth, relating to an increase in Turner's salary, and discussion of absences from work for Turner owing to illness, operations and nervous exhaustion. There is correspondence relating to Turner's retirement from the post of news editor at the paper, with reference to pension, and good wishes from colleagues. There are internal memoranda relating to Turner's illness, and the preparation of his obituary.
